I have even tried to get the ball rolling and waved to Harley riders in the hope they wave back, but they never do!
I have asked many riders this question but no one has had an answer.
I am sure Harley riders are just like the rest of us - out there enjoying the road and the ride.
    Has anyone got any ideas?

Sometimes when I'm on a Harley I wave with both hands to bring balance to the force.

What that tells you, is sportbike riders wont wave to you any more, because whenever they do they get ignored, or worse.

To be fair, the mrs and I got waved to by a bloke with a massive grin on a shiney harley the other day. I was so shocked I nearly fucked the roundabout up. Would we have parked next to this guy and had a yarn - of course!

What you think is wrong. Sportbike riders will happily greet anyone, UNTIL they are repeatedly and rudely rebuffed, and then they will reconsider.

Thats the whole point of riding a cruiser, in particular a harley.. isn't it ? Harleys are NOT happy-go-lucky fun machines, they are in-your-face fuck-you attitude machines, aren't they ? And that is the attitude adopted by their riders, and that is why they don't wave to others outside their breed, because anything that is not a cruiser can get fucked. Am I wrong ?

Waving for me not always practical....so I nod most often.

If you would be riding a Harley Nodding may not be noticeable.......

Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
