Sooo what are feelings about acknowledging scooter riders? Is there a cutoff point? I like to wave to other bikers...even if almost [but not all] Harley riders ignore me....but I feel like a right prat waving at some scooter, with a jandal wearing youf. So I dont....does that make me an elitist snob or just an arse?!

I always wave....then give them the birdie if they didn't wave back! A bit like this (been dying to use this icon in context).

They don't see it, but it makes me feel better

Oh and yeah, welcome to you. Hope you have lots of fun around here

im the same, scooter riders ,ride for the sake of petrol costs whereas most bikers ride because they love it no matter the costs ,the bigger the bike the more responses you get in my experience .

I use to wave to everyone.

then cruisers stopped waving back (primarily the harley riders) so i stopped bothering, if one waves to me ill wave back.

now i just wave to sports bikes, and cops.

I confess - it was me.

If ever you're out riding, and a nutter on a blue VFR waves at you, and you don't wave back, and subsequently crash, it's me wotdunnit.

If I'm in a mood, and the wavee doesn't wave back, then they get a "Well fukya then!".
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    Sometimes I wave. Sometimes I don't.
I haven't done a detailed statistical analysis, but I really haven't noticed any trend with the types of people who wave, and those who don't. Sometimes people wave. Sometimes they don't.
I guess since the major rule is that all sports bike riders won't wave at cruisers, and all cruiser rides won't wave at sports bikes, no-one has any clear waving guidelines to follow when they see my wee traillie, so I get a random distribution of waves.
