Hey deathstar, If ya take one hand off the bar you will be fine. It may even improve your riding because if you relax your hands a little you will ride smoother and not be as tierd. You can help to steer your bike just by putting some extra weight on the footpeg that will be on the inside of the corner.
    Until then nod a bit.

    gotta rep you for that....

I am riding an old Jap bike at present, and most people wave, UNTIL they realise its just not a cool bike. Im over it now..... and I think its a cool little bike.

I nod to all bikers, and usually get a nod back....I often wonder how many responses are just reflex with the other rider off up the road thinkin "Why'd I do that? It was only a scooter!"

Too cool to say Hi or what..?

I think all motorcycles are cool and have ridden a lot of them (all kinds) and enjoyed every minute of it. I allways acknowledge ALL other bikes on the road with either a wave or a nod and take enjoyment in this simple act of brotherhood when others acknowledge in a similar way..It is very noticable (much more so than other M/C types) that those who ride cruisers (harleys or Jappers) rarely even acknowledge other motorcyclists with even a slight nod.. Why is this so..?

Even arseholes in disguise are still arseholes. The Harley is sometimes a clue, but why do you not rant about sprotbike-riders when someone on a GXFZGPZ1000 doesn't wave back?? There's plenty of them too.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

don,t worry, I feel sure our resident groch from Huntly will wander along soon and have some anti sports bike comment to make, matching leathers, non waving buggers that we apparently ALL are.

Yep - yesterday I waved to pushbikes, kids on the side of the road and even a 4x4 driver who gave way to me when he didn't need to....but not to the 3 sportsbikes who didn't even acknowledge the 3 adventure bikes going the other way.But I don't care, the kids get a buzz being waved to by bikes....no matter what they are.

I only wave to shiny late model sportbikes.

No need to wave to the other LESSER types of bikes
