I find most Duc riders a good bunch of bastards actually, most likely to give a nod or wave, especially those on 916-999 bikes.

In return, he screwed his face up like a cats ass and just stared me out.

If you have seen different strokes, back ages ago, where the little fella (Arnold i think) used to screw his face up, and do the lip thing that only african american's can, and say "What you talkin about Willis?". Well, that was the face!

So what's up with these people? I would have thought, if I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm just a fellow biker, where is the harm in noding back or giving a wave?????

It could even boost the image, if only for biker cops.

There is a big maori(?) bike cop, often on the nw mway who returns waves, I only recognise him cos he gave me a good telling off a few months ago.

I've actually opted for the reverse nod. This means I throw my head back slightly in the acknowledgement. Confuses some people at first but generally is well accepted. As per another thread on respect for others bikes - I am a nod whore. I will nod at anyone. If I wave I'll probably fall off though.

doesnt take long to learn to ride one handed...hell, just ask OAB! when im comfy and riding at a decent pace, ill often tuck the fingers on my left hand under the pillion seat and kick back a little. ive also learned how to take gentle corners sitting like that, though i try not too often...like all the control i can get. hell....last time i went to my mates place...he lives down the bottom of a decent hill...i was going down there no-handed! LOL. let the engine brake do all the work and relax my hands a bit.

mrd...ive actually done that...just waved cos i thought i saw what wasnt there....and sometimes ive done the opposite...not waved at something that was there! sometimes i mistake scooters for bikes, and gns for scooters [dont kill me!]

I second that.........besides I wasn't sure if someone on there 600+ sports bike would really appreciate me nodding or alike on my little Ginny with its lemon plate on

I usually wait to see if acknowledged then return the gesture if I have time......if I do it and not returned I would feel like I been shunned for being the poorer cousin so to speak
