Special KB nod: looks like a cross between an Indian saying "yes" and someone trying to get a crick out of their neck. Bonus points if you shrug your shoulders at the same time. Informally known as the "KB Spaz"

Hey - I do that every time I go over a bump anyway. How about a modified wave as follows: lift hand and point forefinger at the sky - non KBers will then wobble as they look upwards to see WTF you're pointing at.
In space, no one can smell your fart.

    The Wave,he he,ha ha,oh,the Wave.

Heading up the Glen Murry/Rangiriri rd today and a flock of sprotsbikes comes the otherway, maybe 6 to 8 of them.....no waves, but that pretty normal, they don't wave to dirt bikes.I was figuring there would be a straggler or two,and as I came to turn into Churchil Rd another bike came the other way...and waved! And it was a HARLEY!!!!!!!

Come on you guys, what's it all about? You bleat and moan and heap scorn upon others, and yet none of you wave to me - but a Harley does! I saw a few more bikes as I slipped on and off SH22,none of the sportsbikes waved - but some nice classic/vintage bikes gave me some waves.

Oh,and the farmers waved, they alsways do.

Went for a run up to puhoi /Warkworth / Wellsford then down SH16 through to Hellensville and saw a ton of bikes , most waved some didn`t and most of the ones that didn`t wave were sportsbikes , there was the odd Harley/Triumph , but Iv`e sorta given up caring ,each to their own I suppose. But I would wave to you mate or nod

P.s I did get 1 wave from a farmer she was waving me down so I wouldn`t hit the 20 or so cows on the road . No waves from the cows though.Guess they thought they were too staunch in their leathers.

I've NEVER had a Harley rider wave back. I saw a guy on an old Trumpy the other day and waved and he didn't wave back. All others wave back, apart from scooter riders, but they don't count.

I even get people waving when I'm commuting. I always wave back, unless it's too dangerous. Then will give a nod or friendly toot.

EDIT: I also wave to the kids in cars watching through the rear window. Makes my day when the little tackers faces light up and they turn around to tell mum or dad and then wave back. Bless them

I would wave to a dirty bike if I ever saw one, though I've only ever seen them on the back of a trailer or ute, even then I wave but don't usually get a response.

If im riding back roads i generally dont have time to wave, might give a nod but would only wave if cruising... my safety and focus on the task at hand (no pun intended) is more important to me than making someone else, regardless of their type of bike, feel good about themselves because i waved at them.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
