Yeah, some are plain NASTY, like disguising the rader antenae as a rev-counter in a plain Mitsi VRX, fools the boy racers enough that they "drag" you off, poor sorry arsed buggers then get clocked at 124kph etc, SO diabolical but like shooting fish in a barrel they are SO dumb!!

'Course a KBer would NEVER be caught out by such a simple ruse, would they??

I wave at anyone on two wheels, though I've found mainly only sportbike riders wave back.

    Hog riders never wave back.

been riding for ages, i wave to all bikes, but i don't get many back from the harley boys, what's with that?

but it's all good getting a wave back.

and the kids are great what a smile you putt on their faces. espically when ya give them a cool wave. ( cool wave?)

    groovey.

we need to sought out some specific signs though like cop ahead or shite conditions would be better. we need a language.

Waved at a couple of cops on bikes last weekend, and got no response both times. Maybe they were just having a bad day.

Speaking of which, does anybody know why it is that kids wave to cops friendly like until a certain age then it's the sullen looks and often the one finger wave???? :disapint: :confused2

I was thinking the other day.

You can always tell teh difference between the real bikers, and the ones that are doing it, not because they want to, but because it is cheaper. They have no real interest in biking or the comardarie. I enjoy it, and wave or nod to everyone because I knew how I felt when I went for my first ride and all these people were waving and nodding, even had a guy on a harley nod.

    yeh i wave/nod to everyone

even kids in the backseat of cars - they get really excited when you do shit like that.
people who dont acknoledge you either wannbe biker-types or wannabe racebike-types. Most gang members give ya a nod or a smile, its mainly the arrogant young gang type fellas that act like pricks.

I wave & nod at all bikes/scoots quite simply because I'm having so much fun being on 2 wheels. Can't wait to move up to a bike though (anyone want to buy an Lancer Evo 6??).

I would say the split between those who do acknowledge/don't is 70/30, with mostly fellow scoots not waving or nodding. Go figure.
Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Maybe they see scoots as just a form of transport, like a bus, maybe they don't have any emotions about riding?

Ouch, you missed and got me in the eye

Hehe, I quite enjoy it when you see kids in the back seat turn around and wave and stuff, I always give them a friendly wave back. You never know, they might remind Daddy or mummy that there is a bike behind them and not to drive funny.
