    South Island trip!! DECEMBER

    Ello boys and girls!

A couple of us are heading down south on the 3rd Dec for a couple of weeks to do some testing on the tracks down there as I have decided to do the Nats but have no clue on the tracks
I have spoken with the clubs down there and have sorted dates etc but what we're needing is...
    1) someone close to each track who knows it well / have raced to show me round a bit (be good if their experience was on a 600/1000)
    2) if at all possible somewhere to stay near each track to save on costs etc

    The plan:

    Ruapuna - Tuesday Dec 4th
    Levels - Friday Dec 7th
    Teretonga - Monday Dec 10th

If anyone at all thinks they can help out please PM, ring or txt me 027 222 3146

    Cheers heaps,

    Aria

Is Ruapuna near here? We just moved to Invervegas, - enlighten me if we're in the right neck of the woods.

I'll be at ruapuna on the 8th for king of ruapuna meeting. Should be a good day. Not sure if you will be in chch that week though. Also race meet at teretonga the following sunday (16th) but again looks like you won't be in town.

Ey Rossi Gal, I'm close to Ruapuna (5 mins) and you're welcome to stay here if you wish. Plenty of room and a big workshop for your bikes. I have an invite to go to Italy at that time but if I'm away, wifey and daughter will be here. I'm sure there'll be plenty of offers to show you the track, last time I put a wheel round there in anger petrol was $1.50 a gallon (although I did take the chequered). Maybe I should take the MV keys to Italy ey??

King of Ruapuna is on Dec 8th, why not rework your plan and do the race day so you can run against the local riders

slack arse Bren_chch spends the odd Tuesday/Friday at Ruapuna it might be worth a PM to see if he's going out that day

I completely agree with Kick.... spend the Friday at the track getting to know it at your own pace.... then spend King of Ruapuna racing against the locals... would be great fun and a stunning way to get to know Ruapuna

Me and John (who you probably already spoke too about teretonga) can pretty much go out to the track at the drop of a hat, we both have track hire passes which means anytime practice for free (are you guys at other tracks in NZ jealous, reason 57 why teretonga kicks arse!!) Other wise a track hire for the whole day may sting you the shattering sum of $45. (I can hear North Islanders gasping form here!)
So we can probably show you the way round, I can let you know closer to the time. I am on a 600 john is on a 1000.

I know what you're both saying, and I had tried to do this, but the only day I could get on levels was Fri 7th. but again, ya never know how plans change once you start them.
