felt for ya. original report was that Meanies concours and a green kwaka had fallen over. Mad rush to get over there and then felt a little guilty about my relief when I found my bike standing safe. Real shame that one.

That many riders in one spot and you will always get tossers.
    Shame really.
It was tosser anonymous (TM) this year. Much much worse than any other. This was my first year on the 9 and it just seemed like a magnet for the members of T.A. They just HAD to get past. Had a heap passing right off our shoulder even though we were 2 up and I never got out of 3rd from Himitangi to Woodville. Doesnt hurt to give some room aye? Even the run out the coast there were LOTS and LOTS of people who were VERY VERY cautious in the rain. I dont want to bag anyone who is riding carefully but it was frustrating working the way through traffic picking the moments to pass safely to have some tosser passing 4 or 5 bikes right on their shoulder or on a blind corner. Did get a little satisfaction seeing the bike in Balance picking up his fairings. (oops, thats right. it was probably some other factor that made him crash and we are not surposed to bag another biker, maybe it was the aliens)

The after partys are always good when bikers are involved on the other hand!
yes. It certainly was a great one. Just editing the photos and deciding which ones should be posted and which ones should be kept for blackmailing purposes.

Have to agree with you on that one cowboyz.

Was carefully riding along incognito on my mates TLR1000 (A bike that matches my jacket and helmet now ) taking it nice and easy, when all of a sudden it seems somebody had heard that the sausages at Woodville were running out!

VRoom! I get smoked by a few bikes who think they are about to get the best sausages. Then WOW! 30 seconds later bikes parked everywhere. Black plastic all over the road.

Make sure plenty had stopped for assistance, and carried on.

Had a laugh about that at lunch... and all the 250's that thought is was soo cool to smoke the mighty V-Twin.

At lunch we come up with a theme for next year:
    "Cancel Your Freekin Indicators!"

Man there were some muppets on that one!

After woodville I was really looking forward to taking the Tricked TLR for a 120 km ride in the rain on a rode I hadn't ridden in a year.
I had only done 120k on the bike thus far, so it should be.... Fun!

Well, I tell you, the TLR was really well behaved! I kid you not.
    Loved it!
Followed a few people who forgot how to ride around corners a couple of times... including my mate on his Guzzi 750... Seems the Guzzi wanted to visit the paddock (after all it is an adventure bike), so off he went.
Lesson: Target fixation can be deadly! It was through good management I was riding the road, but said mate admitted to watching the guy in front who didn't take the best line!

Anyway, got the TLR all the way to the other side and back in one piece.
What a dream to ride once the road dried out!
Heck, it wasn't the monster i was expecting in the wet anyway.
And who said that TLR's can't go around corners?
They corner way better than by CBR with an oil water cocktail in the forks...

Have to agree that the ride out there was particulary sh#t this year, also the comment about indicators. Also worth noting is that if you see an accident it probably isnt a good idea to brake really hard as son as you see it with 100 bikes behind you. It wont really achieve anything except to cause another accident better to go past then stop eh?

Liked meeting and greeting people I haven't seen for a while but think I may give it a miss next year

Yeah...but the ride back to Masterton was awesome...except for a few shitty sections of unmarked roadworks after Alfreton. I love riding in the rain!

Unsure but I think the lead rider was a chick. Had a brown back pack on.
