Heard Chancyy ride past and toot a few minutes ago!Rain is just a drizzle and looks like its clearing so hopefully they have a dry day!Now Im just waiting to see if the ride goes past my place...should look impressive!

Well about 1000 bikes(????) just went past my place....as I have adopted a 5 1/2 week old kitten(sad story but shes saved now) I ran out to the roadside with her shoved down my jumper.........and managed to get a sneaky shot of Chancyy....

Good ride apart from the wet. Meet up with alot of people I hadn't seen for a while. Hope everyone had a good trip home.

Doug and I got home alright.

Went the back route to the Saddle rd. We where very tempted to hang a right at Ashurst and do the Pahogina loop. It was a very welcoming scene coming down the saddle rd seeing the sun streaming down on the mighty Manawatu.

Gerble performed exceptionally well as usual.

hmmmm. few seconds late it would have been a quality photo with a green bike in it. I know you are not surposed to bag organised events and such but this has been the worst coast to coast I have attended. Might start a rant thread about it after I get back from getting drunk.

One off on the Balance rd, a gent was picking up large bits of black plastic at that right hander where there's normally cow shit(which wasn't the real cause of the bin by the looks).

Certainly a lot of better behaved riding this year. In saying that at least one other rider had bum puckering moment. No, it wasn't I. There appeared to be quite a few riders that had'nt done a lot of riding in the rain before. But the more "experianced" folk should make allowances for that.

Generally I think it wasn't too bad considering the conditions.

Oh and well done those that completed the whole run. Thanks also to the organisers and voleenteers.

It'll be interesting to see Anthonys report on the ride too. Lucky bugger. Helo ride, then loaned sprot bike from Woodville out to the east coast.

cowboys ,what gps unit do you use at the moment ? as im contemplating getting one..

garmin etrex legend. doesnt do auto-routing on the unit but you can set autorouting on a PC and upload the track to the unit and follow it. I really only use it for recording purposes and works really well.
