FOR SALE: '88 GSXR250 Repowered w/ 400cc

Have owned this beaut for about 2 years. I bought this to commute to work, then when I upgraded my wife learnt to ride on it (having never even sat on a bike before) and it's been hers ever since. From putting around the carpark to fanging it round the twisties, this bike is very easy to ride and fast enough to keep you on your toes.
Due to unfortunate financial woes, it's time for it to go

. My wife absolutley loves this bike and will be very upset to see it go, as will I, but needs must.

1988 Suzuki GSXR 250.
Has been repowered with a Suzuki 400 Impulse engine.
Registered as a 250 so learner license legal.
Unsure of actual kms of engine but would guess around 55000.
Just had oil change.
Will be sold with new WOF.
Registration on hold.
Cracked front screen, still have missing piece.
Needs new chain and sprockets, reserve reflects this.
Tidy farings, with a few cracks here and there mainly in the paint not plastics.
Brand new rear tyre, hardly been scrubbed in.
Half worn front, still plenty of life left. Both Pirelli Sport Demons.
Modified exhaust, has a nice note to it.
Steering head bearings recently done.
Rear wheel bearing also recently done.
Fork seals done when I first bought it.

I think that's about it, feel free to come and have a look/ride whatever.

I'd... um... blur out the number plate if you're going to mention on a very public forum looked at by members of the h'establishment that the engine is every so slightly grey.

Sure is mate, we moved down here on the 18th Sept. All my family is from down here so I convinced the missus that the weather was just as good and she agreed to move down!! Alas the weather is not so good, but we're still enjoying it!
