Yep thats right, I smoked my last smoke at 8.30pm and have decided to go cold turkey and give up. I have had this habit for 17 years so for me this is a HUGE issue. I have reflux (for those of you who don't know what this is, it means that my stomach produces too much acid and therefore I have constant heartburn and I'm sick quite a lot).My smoking and excess coffee intake has irritated my reflux to the point where I have been sick for the last week and I have decided enough is enough.
So I just flushed my packet down the toilet and felt partly relief and partly nervous as I know if I don't do this then I will be sick more often and will have to rely on my medication which I have been trying to stay away from.
I have given up now as by the time I move to Auckland in a month I should be over most of the cravings and I really don't think it would look all that great if I was constantly grumpy at my new job.
I'm hoping to use this thread as a sort of diary to help me through my withdrawal process and also something to look back at and know that I made a huge and healthy change in my life.
I have the support of my flatmate and also a great personthat is willing to put up with my bad mood swings etc but they are all for it too which makes things a lot better for me.
So watch this space for updates, I warn you some posts may not be all flowers and teddy bears either.![]()

, I too kinda have a curvy figure which makes it worse beacuse im a guy. Well the waist kinda goes in and the bum pushes out. When I was in college the girls in my year would slap me on the arse and squeeze because apparently it is firm, tight...
I wear jeans
