Well if I was going to give into temptation, today would have been the day. But instead I have gone for a walk to clear thoughts in my head and relax myself abit.

I have had a prick of a day due to asking my assistant to do some REAL work and help me out with some urgent work that needed to be done. Instead I got hauled into a meeting by my boss and told not to have the attitude that just cause I am leaving, I should still care about what I am doing...Where he got this fucking idea is beyond me. I'm not the type of person that hands in their notice and just sits around and waits to do their time before leaving. I asked him where he got this idea from and he said because I asked my assistant to help me out. Apparently she had told him that I have an attitude since handing in my notice and she can't work like that....WTF!!!!

I am still doing my job to the best of my ability and just because I asked her not to take her half hour tea break and hour and a half lunchtime so we can get the work finished I have an attitude.

I will be sooooo glad to be out of that place!!!!! Rant over

Go in tomorrow and tell Heather to "Get fucked you lazy bitch!" Go on to tell her she might as well go and cry to Dwayne now coz you're going to tell her to do more work... instead of baking muffins...

just my 2c... you know I'd do it given half a chance!

Oh and good on you for finding an alternative to smoking - you rock!

I have had some weak moments I have to admit. But I don't enjoy it and I don't have to have it either. When I have had a weak moment I go back to reading the book. I don't have cravings and I feel heaps better except getting a blasted cold.

My reflux has improved dramatically which I'm impressed about and now I'm back to one pill a day instead of four. Sometimes I don't need to have the one, depending on what food I'm eating.

Poor Dan has put up with my bad moods, short temper but has been great as a support person. The one thing that surprises me is the fact that I can hang out with other smokers and not feel like I want one. Its a vast improvement all round and just adds to the many improvements I have made within myself this year. I'm proud of myself and that isn't something I have ever said to myself before.

So Dan I want to publically thank you Just being there when I whinged, moaned etc meant a lot

    well DONE that Gal!!

i really don't think that people who have never smoked understand just how gut-wrentching a thing it is to give up ........

they think of smoking as a lifestyle choice but the point is, once you've become used it it, it's only part habit ... the rest is addiction [with all that entails]......

you've done SO well to kick it!!

As an ex-smoker, I still think that it is a lifestyle decision. I tried any number of times to give up and failed, because in my heart I just didn't want to. My wife fell pregnant, I thought "fuck this, no more fannying around, I'm giving up" and that was pretty much that. As Alexei Sayle said, "I've stopped putting my dick in the blender."

You two are just so darn cute!!!

Seriously though, well done Stickchick... Such good news about your health improving because of it too...

I'm still off the fags as well, even though someone was smoking very close to me the other day.

For some reason, doing it cold turkey works for me this time, not sure why. But no cravings whatsoever, so all good really.
