There's this chap called Robert Taylor who logs into this site under the user name: Robert Taylor.

Send him a PM. He's the NZ Ohlins Agent, and a fine Suspension Technician in his own right.

Yeah I looked into an Ohlins for mine a couple of years back and found that the price was very reasonable if you intend to keep the bike. Allow a budget of replacing all the linkage bearings too.

It'll transform the bike no end.

The Ohlins spec for this model is VERY well priced and will transform the rear to a ''night and day'' level. Combine that with emulators and springs in the front and you will have a bike that is a delight to ride. Send me a pm and I will give you a menu of options.

Was going to sell it but thought better of it i just love the sound it makes its a different exhaust note to other bikes
I have also been looking into an usd front end from later model gixers an rvg and a couple of other options trying to make it so everything is just bolt on so all original parts can be put back on its a work in progress at the mo
after suspension comes the clutch engine has done over a 100000 ks and still doesnt smoke not even on startup
have started giving it a satin black paint job
but the suspension is my main job at the moment
