The vid sounds cool - be good to see it!

I'm serious when I say you should come out on the track next time. It's a great way to improve your skills and confidence.

Yeah, I wish I had married one of those old guys who die really soon after you marry them and leave you all their money so I could hit the track EVERY Friday too...

Yah right...you're not fooling anyone...I see through the Remuera Mum facade...you're a Parnell girl for sure...

So who's going this Sat? Not much interest in a Coro ride, so I think I'll head to Puke, and if it's not too crowded, jump on the track...and hopefully stay on it.

get to taupo then mate, puke is a shit hole of a track compared to taupo. Cant wait to have Hampton Downs available for a thrashing.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

A bunch of us were chatting whilst out at the Pukekohe track Friday b4 last and saying how great it was blasting around there and how it's an interesting phenomenon when people bag it! I know you're comparing it to Taupo Gareth, and it was AWESOME the other day down there, but Puke IS still a good track and has its place, and while it needs some improvements re. safety measures, it should be complimented more than ridiculed imo.

Well put Zedman. And for those who can't wait - tough - you're going to have to. Earliest estimates for a usable race track is now 1st quarter 2008. As per the Hampton Downs track thread, resource consent for the actual race track was put on the back burner to October this year now. With Taupo getting the A1GP and Hamilton getting the V8 street race, there is no incentive to push Hampton Downs to be build sooner rather than later. It'll get finished when it gets finished.

Puke is pretty thrilling in places, like coming over the hill hard in fourth, as the bike starts to drift sideways on the crest at 200+...but the safety thing is almost enough of an issue to condemn it to being a shithole in my opinion (just my opinion...those who haven't binned there may differ)...sad that it will never be given the run off to make it a great track for bikes.
