How much would my bike be worth, 1985 Honda Vt250F?

Hi guys,
I'm planning on selling my bike in the next few weeks and was wondering if you guys could give me a guesstimate (or an offer on my bike). It is a 1985 Honda VT250F. Its done approx 54000km. It is a v twin. Had a new rear tyre in October. Needs a new chain and probs a front tyre. I've had a bin on it, so it has a few scrape marks and a repaired indicator. Let me know how much you think it'd be worth as I'm keen to get a new bike.
The picture is off the internet as my bike is currently a bit dirty and i want a decent photo.

Dangerous was telling me how great these bikes were for running from the cops!

On a serious note. maybe 2k? not really too sure though.

you reckon as high a $2k. wow. that would be awesome if it did, i was thinking a tad less than that. ohwell. if it sells for 2k i'll give some money to whoever is in charge these days

I would go on and say trademe is your friend.. but the price they charge to list it today is a joke..

If it is a genuine mechanically good bike, and you give it a tidy up there is no reason it wont make 2k to the right person.

There was a time when anything learner legal would fetch a fine price- I have seen some rolled bowled and arsholed 250 bikes fetch ridiculous prices. The best time tio sell is the beginning of Summer. you might still be in time to get a good buyer. Being in wellington you've got plenty of people to sell it too.

Why? How much is your bike worth?
In fact one of those threads is asking how much should be charged for a web based service. Another is for a different bike altogether. Admitedly he asked this question once before of this bike which should of course be merged but why the Hostility Steam? Is Mafu1 porking your missus?

VT250 probably worth 1500 but you may get more if the right buyer comes along.

Not me in person, and aprently not that good when ya low side it down a dead end st... shit sAs you will get me in the shit again with the said rider.
VT's awesome learners bikes, not sure what ones worth but Id reconmend one before a 250/4
