    Arrow Insurance Worries

Yeah, does your insurance company cover you if you go to a track day??
I’ve read elsewhere on KB that if the gates are left open, your covered but if there closed your own your own, is this the case??
This will be my first, (Yes, I'm a track virgin ) and I'll be taking it nice and easy I can assure you all of that!
Do you need to have a full set of leathers to be allowed on the track??
What's the cost of entrance into this prestigious event anyway??

You don't need leathers, just apropriate gear for eiding. I'd imagine the cost might be $20 or sumfing?

    I'll look after ya mate!

If you binned, I guess you could carefully sweep up all the bits and then go and deposit them on a public road somewhere...

Q: Why did the mouse marry the elephant?

    A: Had to.

Q: What's grey and comes in pints?

    A: An elephant.

Q: Why are elephants large, grey and wrinkled?

A: Because if they were small, white and smooth they'd be aspirins.

Do we have the oportunity to join the ride south of Auckland, ? Say BP Papakura
Don't want to ride all the way to the north shore just to come back down the motorway again.
HW 22 then Te Kuiti, Bennydale, Mangakino, then part way down the westside of Taupo then across is a good ride.
Where is the racetrack in Taupo ?

The Track is on the way from Rotorua, via Broadlands road, about 10 mins from Taupo. See the attached map for directions. Taken from TUMONZ, The Ultimate Map of New Zealand, who I work for. If you need a map for anything, TUMONZ is the answer.

Details of NZ tracks can be found in the FAQ.

There is going to be a Supermotoard event at Taupo track that day and the Elephant riders will get time on the track when the Supermotoard riders have their lunch break. Which is why we need to arrive before 12.

I am keen. I'll be joining from the South (Wellington / Palmy) to Taupo and then going back with the Auckland crew. On my SV hopefully.

Yup! And us Guzzi riders read the above and think.... "How Ghey is this?" All that tight leather and funny colours? Yup! Ghey!

    I'd love to, but

Murphy has had it in for me since the day I was f*ing born, so if I go to a track day, some shit will happen, and I'll end up paying off a bike which is actually a pile of scrap metal... I'll come for the ride probably. (hell, maybe I'll get cajoled into going on the track..........)

This ride is not meant to be a track day. It just a handy central meeting point for all the North Island bikers to meet.
