Will be looking into the SH30 to SH1 via Atiamuri or Kinleith next to see what might be the best option.
Do we have a final decision on the Auckland route yet? I need to get maps of the decided route off to Forbes & Davies soon.

Currently looking at a 08:00 departure time from Holeshot. Also would like to stop off at the Autobahn to pick up those south of Auckland.

    Blew the turbo, motors fine.
130 Wide is looking at doing the run on a borrowed bike. Things are looking better for me to do it work wise. I'll use it as an excuse to return some gear I borrowed for cold kiwi.

Right, I've got from Ngaruawahia to the Taupo track set, but TUMONZ is giving me trouble with Puke to the Ngaruawhia to Otorohanga route (HELP!).

I've been down the Ngaruawhia to Otorohanga back raod route through to Te Kuiti so that's sweet.

This is the route I've set so far:
    Ngaruawhia to Otorohanga,
    SH3 to Te Kuiti,
    Turn onto SH30, Through Benneydale,
past SH32 Through Whakamaru (still 30),
after Hikrangi Is. on Lake Whakamaru (SH30, Ongaroto Rd) take the first right onto Tram Rd,
Stay on Tram Rd and cross SH1 (Tram Rd is the right hand road on the other side of SH1),
Accross Tutukau Rd (still on Tram Rd) to T with SH5,
Left onto SH5 past Palmer Mill Rd (on your right) take the next left onto Aratiatia Rd,
past the spillway take the 2nd left onto Veiw Rd,
At the T with Broadlands go right,
The Taupo Track should be by the next Rd on your right.

Sounds good to me so that would make it around 8.30 at the Autobahn which I presume is the one at Papakura as its easier to get in and out of and not the Bombay one
The route by riderinblack also sounds good to me although it may be better to turn right at Rangiriri and over the bridge to get off SH 1 earlier and do the backroad to huntly and Ngaruawahia as its a quieter road

TUMONZ showed the Dury-Puke-Raglan (SH22) as having metal at the Raglan end. Wise (http://www.wises.co.nz/map/default.asp?svctype=16&zoom=4&mapaction=0&mapwhich=19&width=512&height=960&businesses=1&brad=25&color=-1&filled=0&e=2683600&n=6422300&routemethod=0&s_id=&radius=&mapsize=3&move=true&zoomin=tru
) shows it as Tarseal all the way. If SH22 is as in Wise then We should trun off at Dury or Puke and take the 22,
    Then left onto SH23,
Then right at Whatawhata onto the Ngaruawhia to Otorohanga back route.
    Hows that sound?

TUMONZ is right. After the raglan turn off there is about 3 parts of metal, it is not un-ridable. But have to keep it slow and steady, I have rode thru it on the VTR250 with a GSX250. And I have only 3 good months of riding experience so its passable. but do u want to go that way?

I'd be keen to pop up. That's quite a bit of riding for one day though eh?! Especially for people that are going on the track as well. Sounds good though. See you all up there! (Unless it's real crap weather )

Jimmy - do I just come and pick up a ticket or something from Wgtn MC's?
