I bought a bike off Frosty recently for my friend.
He was very up front and honest about it. The sale went well.

Unfortunately I found myself in a similar position frosty was in. There was work needing to be done to the bike(as frosty had told me) and I was running shy on time to finish the bike. I had to leave it unfinished and get my own bike sorted.
I worked on it for free and gave my friend parts for the bike for free too.
Long story short .... My friend doesn't talk to me any more as she was very unhappy with me not finishing her bike sooner than later.

Its a bitch when you give your best and it just doesnt work out.

You are doing great things frosty, keep it up.

I bet if all the people who hadn't met FROSTY and str8jacket would keep their unbounded opinions to themselves then there wouldn't be all this shit flinging. Obviously this is another thread that people like to pin their opinions on.

I consider Str8 to be a friend. I also consider Frosty to be someone who has done a lot for heaps of people and has earnt his reputation. I suspect that they both have good reason for how they are feeling and have truth in their positions. Sometimes things just leave a shit taste in the mouth. That's why we have sorbet.

As a matter of fact, I have two spewzukis in my gargre at the moment.

Well, one's in bugjuice's gargre, with the engine out, but it's still mine.

And my flatmate has one, too, although it is not painted the One True Colour and only has half the proper number of cylinders.

Of course, smoky's right about me not liking women, but it's only an occasional thing. I don't hate all of them. Anyway, I never said I wouldn't fuck Str8 Jacket.

Maybe Frosty would let me borrow his van again...

You told me on SO MANY occasions before I flew up to Akld to get the bike that you had got this done. I even offered to organise someone to come and pick it up from your place and I was prepared to pay ALL COSTS involved but you assured me so many times that it was done and that everything was sweet, I mean I rang you every second day I was so excited bout the bike! At the time I was going out with MrMelon and he heard all of this as well.

When I picked the bike up of you and asked for the paperwork for the inspection you said that you had left it at home but would send it to me. Another problem I had was that after I had flown to Auckland from Wellington the bike had absolutely NO petrol in it and was pretty much empty of oil. The chain was falling of the bike and the sprockets were fucked. Yes I probably should have checked all this beore I left Akld but genuinely though that you were a good guy and I did trust you. Also the bike had no registration label on it and when I went to the post shop it was going to expire in a day or two.... Yes you rectified this and paid for it but you are a car sales man and should have sorted this.

Literally the day after I got back to Wgtn I had to crash start the bike every day. I paid a 3000 for the bike and as it fell apart more and more I then spent another 3000+ on it. The reason I am so f*cked of about the situation is purely because you lied about the prepurchase and never admitted that you had not done it until I posted the"infamous thread". Which made me believe that you may have known that the bike was f*cked. f you had have actually got a prepuchase done as you said you had then I wouldve have just thought I had bought an "old bike" not have been ripped off! I am still paying off this bike and will be for another 5 years that is whay it annoys me. That and you never apologised for lieing to me. This is a good start.

You where offered a refund and you turned it down. End of story and end of obligation. There was nothing more he could do.

    Sad sad thread!

I know I have a choice of whether I read these threads/posts or not but does an Internet forum really need to have this sort of personal bullshit painted all over it?

Maybe it does have a place and I should just fuck off and read some place else but to us who are not involved it does look a bit childish and petty.

Like the Eagles say in their song "Get over it" it's all in the past, leave it there, move on!

Mrs O/r and I went for a fantastic ride today over Meyers Pass and through all the back roads around Waimate and the Waitaki valley.

    170 miles of absolute magic!

Mrs O could have her way with me tonight, if she plays her cards right! I feel so gooooood! Cheers John.

I don't know the circumstances of this particular incident but I bought Mella Yella of frosty last year. The bike was in as he said condition ( which was good). The only problem with the bike was the rider. It recently blew up due to splitting a hose and running dry. If this is Frosty's problem then DAMM that's what I call after sales service.
It is sad that this has happened, and even worse that said people were on both ends of the island.
On a side note has anyone ever been stung buy Tardme from buying something?.

    *sigh*.

Do you REALLY want to get into that Jorja?

What needed to be done to that bike to get it sorted is REALLY well documented. With photos and everything.
