I'll be keen if I can get my stator coil fixed by then.

Just finished doing 2900km over 5 days with 900km done in one day. Great fun.

Oh I love that road between those points, and the lower buller... the excuse I use to hit the Mokihinui Rally.

We should still be sweet by the time we hit glaciers. I suspect it would be about Omarama before the time and distance makes itself felt...??

Sounds like a great ride. More than welcome.

It's highly likely Woodstock will be a there and back ride for me, or at the very most a Lewis/Arthurs Pass ride. Will be a one nighter as well.

I've just added up the mileage. I used that column next to the map and by my calculations this is a 1700k's trip 1705.4k's to be exact. Tell me I'm wrong someone but if not this is way too long for a group ride in one day.

I whole idea is to do it in a day, non stop.
We have 3-5 that are keen and that's enough.
And you have a few weeks to recover so you could easily do both, if you want to.

Why must we come to Woodstock are you getting engaged or married or having a baby?
By the way they are just wild guesses.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Going clockwise I added up the times. From Chch to Omarama is 13 hours 54 minutes and that's not counting rest stops. Add about four hours to Chch from Omarama and you get 17hours.54mins. That's riding time or there abouts. take in coffee and piss stops you could add two hours min. So you are getting into a 19+ hour trip. Bit far for my arse to handle.
