My wife can be so cute, and a real Blonde!

I posted my report on the Blueant Interphone in Jonnyflash's thread, but this is a bit off-topic, so put it here.

We spent the weekend up North, going to Whangarei Friday eve to stay with friends and do some cruising. John and Shaz, long-time friends arrived Fri. aft. from the Waikato on their freshened up Bandit 1200S and as soon as I finished work we got away.

Jill and I were keen to try out the Interphones having been disappointed when we went to Pauanui without them working and after adjusting the volume to max we had a great time chatting away on the trip.

Stopped in Wfd for dinner at Caltex and I topped up with petrol. John took the lead and as we started up the Brynderwyns, we found a VW V6 4WD wagon on our tail, obviously impatient to pass! I let him go on the top passing lane and he shot off ahead at high speed!

Down the other side, it was about 7:30pm by now and Jill, after a period of silence, said she felt a cold breeze up under her chin despite the light neck-warmer. I suggested she drop her head down a bit. "What do you mean?" she asked. "Tilt your head down slightly, drop your chin." I said. "What will that do?" she asked. "It will stop the wind blowing up under the helmet", I said.

There was a short pause... "But I still want to look around!" she said. "Okay", I said, figuring she'll just have to put up with it. (Did I mention she's blonde...?)

She was quiet for a few minutes, then, "I think I need one of those 'Full frontal' thingies!"

I nearly fell off the bike!!!!

When I regained some composure, I asked, "Do you mean a Balaclava, dear?"

"Yes, that's it, one of those!"

Of course, when we arrived at our friends' in Whangarei and were discussing the ride around the Waipoua Forest loop the next day, I said to the others, "Before we leave in the morning we have to stop in town and buy Jill a full frontal!" (Your imagination can take over from here...)

Duly next morning we stopped in at Maunders in Whangarei as they were opening and admired the bikes, (and had a coffee, those guys are very friendly and obviously keen bikers. They knew Daryl as he has a C90T).

Once they had set up, John approached the young guy behind the counter, and pointing at Jill, said, "She needs a "Full frontal!" I wished I'd had a video camera running! The poor guys face ran the whole gammut of reactions, from, "Did I hear that?" to bewilderment, to amusement, to mouth moving but no sound coming out, to just stunned silence! He looked at Jill, back at John, back to Jill, by this time everyone had cracked up!

Unfortunately they had run out of Balaclava's...

It's not only that blondes have more fun, their husbands are kept amused, too!

Me thinks your wife and I would get on really well...

I am known for saying stuff like that, and yes, 007XY is always looking forward to the next little freudian slip of my tongue...

The worse thing is, half of the time, I don't actually know I said something weird until I see the look on people's face...Like that time when a group of us were talking about paranormal capabilities, and I got really animated about ESPN...cos everyone knows that ESP is actually closely related to a TV channel!

Quite likely! She's always coming out with something weird and wonderful! She talks in her sleep, too! Hilarious! I can have fun conversing with her when she's asleep, too!

I hear you...i do that with hubby. Never have I shared a bed with someone that I could actually carry a full on conversation with while they're asleep He is so very clear in his speech, it's incredible...gave me a bloody fright the first time though!

When I came to NZ, the first place I stayed at was the "Pickled parrot" backpaker, where this actual parrot had the nasty (or wonderful) habit of destroying any pack of smokes he could land his claws on...

Gorgeous place, would love to live up there again!

Am I to understand that you have a device which allows your wife to talk to you while you are riding?

    For humanitys sake man, why?

    Is nothing sacred anymore?
