Oh how I would love to be able to do that...except when you're a chick and built like a racing sardine to boot, it's a little hard to meet the said offending commentator at a later stage...
My friends are the only ones whose comments I care about, so in the end, who cares if a jackass wants to flex his muscles online? It doesn't define who I am![]()
rotflmfao!
Yes, when I was a skinny 15 year old it was a lot harder and I got into a few fights for it. That hasn't happened for a long time now that I'm 184cm and close to 100kg.
But regardless, have the strength of your convictions. This might be an online forum but you're also likely to meet your opponents.
And I am a very firm believer in the fact that it doesn't have to be inevitable...
I just don't see what can be gained by trying desperately to prove a point, when the other person does not want (or cannot) comprehend your point of view...
What Idle is referring to is a little different though...he doesn't suffer fools, and so doesn't let them get away with a stupid argument.
I guess you either got it in you, or you don't...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Righto, so...can you beat someone up for me?
Just kidding...Funnily enough, there is one person on here who has quite obviously taken a very strong dislike to me from the very start of my appearance on KB...Never met him, and he keeps on baiting me, but honnestly, I cannot be bothered as the mental capacity is that of an amoeba...a bit like arguing with a jelly fish really!
But I do wish I was as big as Colapop, then we'd see who gets the last word inI have the strength of my convictions, but prefer to reserve my energies for the right people!

Nope, the first suggests that even as a skinny kid I stood up and said what was on my mind.
The second says that OTHER PEOPLE generally don't pick on me in person ; it NEVER said I pick on others. You're just leaping to conclusions like a lemming leaping after some other lemming.
What humility was there to learn? If I'm wrong I'll say so. If all my detractors can do is attack my person instead of my arguments, I just laugh at them.
My attitude hasn't changed, only my height and bulk.
No, I'm not a bully and I've only ever 'beaten up' those who've swung at me first.
Regardless of your size, be strong. I'm sure you'll find that others would step in if needs be. As for anonymous people here with childish grudges: yes, there are plenty.
I count them as small people lacking spines and I've seen em since the first week I joined.
Speak your mind but try to do so using logos, pathos and ethos; make an ancient Greek proud.
*sigh*...nowhere is it written that one person 'needs' to be corrected. What makes you think that you are to be the one doing the so-called correcting?
Humility - the art of being in the right WITHOUT posturing....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Of course you expect us to accept YOUR opinion of what constitutes posturing.
From what I've seen, many here are often sadly mistaken and the other is merely expressing a viewpoint that they disagree with but can't effectively counter.
You or they might think it's posturing but it is usually just a good argument that those lacking skills find difficult to debate.
It smacks of the tall poppy crap.
I don't know if I exist in real life. I post, therefore I am.
