3.30 is do-able, but the social nature of the average KB'r means lots of idle gossip - 'guess who shagged her' type of stuff, and laughing at riders wearing Repsol leathers that match their Repsol hondas.
Looks like I'm coming tomorrow, and I may bring company...

Anyone else: Leaving at 8.30am but returning at 5pm, even going slowish and with lunch, it wouldn't take more than 7 hours would it i.e. back at 3.30pm? (I got a BBQ on Sat avo).
If we were suppose to meet at BP Autobahn, there is no fun road to Kaiaua from there. However to take the fun road "via kaiaua", we shoud've set the meeting point to BP Botany.

Since the ride is tomorrow, I think the path is set We could've gone the Kaiaua way if you'd told us earlier lol

    Maybe next time ey?

Well, there is the left hand turn past Mangatawhiri that snakes through towards Kaiaua, you turn right at the end of the road and then ride a series of nice fast straights before meeting up with SH2 again.
Primo roads, and very quiet - much better than SH2 all the way.

I am the organiser for the Auckland group. However I will lead the SH1, 2, 25 route group
I'm afraid that some might not read this in time and miss out the ride.

Anyways, if someone wants to lead the "BP Botany + Kaiaua" (or other), be my guest

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

Well that was an awesome storm last night with plenty of rain, hail, lightning and thunder, but all good now, looking beautiful here.
