    CG125 newbie help

    Picked this 1976 Honda CG125 off trademe for 800.. new wof & reg
    Ive had heaps of scooters, but new to bikes.. just got a basher for summer..
    I wanna know if i can take the chain guard big ugly thing off? does it serve any purpose??
    Also where can i get a nice set of flat handlebars to fit??

    also is this worth it to get a disc on my CG125

    Yes you can get rid of the chain guard if you want, as to the disk front end why? this is not a fast bike and I suspect just on age its now a classic, from the looks of the photos you provided it seems to be in good nick as a commuter bike.
    Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

    yea chain guard is off now, and i have been advised by a couple shops against the disc setup for not to upset its classicness
