I just love how they do this.

"Oh crap we have done something wrong"

Helen: "never mind we will just change the law, problem sloved"

So they do something wrong, change the law then say they never did anything wrong because the law has changed so now its right.

I can remembew when Piggy was in power and everbody was a financial whiz who knew what they were about. Twelve months later most that voted for him regretted doing so or claimed that they never did.

Same thing will happen if U Turn Key gets in. Just watch everybody moan. Labour will get my Party vote. That's the one that will keep them in power.

Now it's potentially illegal to protest peacefully. "Someone' ordered the cops to move them on, but now that the Police Complaints authority have upheld the complaint (albeit 8 effing years later...) the Gov't just changes the rules to make it ok.

    Sound familiar.?

    Talk about arrogant.
    Why do you ask comrade?

Thats often the case, but if you see who you don't want in power, then use your vote against them most effectively! Vote their biggest opposition.

Usual simplistic waffle from KBers about politics. New Zealanders have real power at their fingertips and you're all too scared to use it. You can construct the government you want, but instead of organising, you'll wait until the last second and then bitch and whine about there being no one to vote for (because you did no research) and then waste both your votes on the same party. This is how Labour keeps getting back in.

That protest was bullshit anyway. "Free Tibet"? The Dalai Lama is no freaking saint. He's the head of what used to be one of the most tyrannical Theocracies ever seen. The Tibetans lived in squalor under the rule of the Lamas, no electricity, no roads, no communication with other cultures, and didn't own a thing they stood up in and were required to donate a significant part of their income and "possessions" to local monasteries. Feudal serfdom with a smiling face and romantic tradition at its head.

For once, the Chinese have actually raised the standard of living, and given the bulk of the population greater social status with their reforms.

Any vote for any other party other than National (and ACT) is a vote for Labour.

So in that case I will not vote.

Whoever is in power, it does not make a lot of difference in the grande scheme of things.

I like Helen Clark and the alternatives do not look particulary appealing imo.

I find it laughable that our gummint is purportedly "there for the common folk", the lowly paid, etc. Yet so many are heading over the ditch for a better life.

Guess we don't need the red tyrant any longer...

Thank goodness for MMP. Without that the labourite sect would have ruled completely, without having to gather up other groups of weirdos to make up the numbers.

You have to admit it's frustrating to watch the same old argument come up and end up with the same old result.

Actually, it does make a difference if you know where to look. Labour has successfully destroyed the very fabric of this nation. Little by little, inch by inch. It is common to reference left wing politics much like a slow eating cancer. Labour is a terminal disease and must be irradiated.

While I understand your MO is "in God we trust" and by nature you will try to see good in everything, several hundred kiwi's a week don't agree with you and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

If we do not change the path we are on, NZ will have a very marginal middle class, a HUGE and POOR working class and there will be a few wealthy people that use this as a playground.

So back to your original comment, the difference is huge. It'll just take National some time to reverse engineer all the fucks ups and indoctrination. If they get in, it will be a mammoth task.
