I wonder how much Howard getting the bums rush last night has put the wind up the current bunch?

( Youre trying to wind me up with such cynical mischief! ) Yes, it would still be far preferable as in fairness they do make a number of good products. For your interest the guy who started WP, one Mr Wim Peters, now rides motorcycles equipped with Ohlins suspension, as he runs Ohlins Germany, responsible for that country and Benelux. He is a nice guy with a lot of empirical knowledge.
If you apply the moral of that story the most one eyed communist might well be able to accept the error of his ways.....!!!!!

Something along the lines of your driving licence "scratch-and-win" test should be sufficient...if you can't demonstrate a working knowledge of our parliamentary system you don't qualify to vote - it's the next logical step.

Questions to be set by Finn, of course
Of course Comrade Helen and her fruitcake sidekick Comrade Cullen are busy scaring away many bright and motivated people and in turn replacing them with some real ''gems'' who will be predisposed to voting for her as a thankyou for all the handouts.

The only thing John Howard did wrong was in not handing over to Peter Costello a couple of years or so back. I feel sorry for Howard and I feel sorry for Australians duped into voting in a Government that will ( as has happened here ) increase the cost of living substanially.

Heres hoping though that the morons in control here will very much get the bums rush.

They are creating a nation of people that think they should do as little as possible and get everything in return.

They have a surplus every year (great money management!!!!) but do we hear or see anything good done with it

That's just the tip of the iceberg as to why I'm not going to vote for them.

    It'll be National for me
Careful! There are lefties on this forum that by their own reckoning ''hold the intellectual and moral high ground'' You will be vilified for saying something that they do not agree with.

The left often claim the moral high ground.

Of course they can never hold any moral ground at all, as their system of government is based on the extortion of the minority based on the desires of the majority.

Sound sweet until you put your brain in first gear.

    Sounds like gang rape really.

You know... where one person, against their will provides for the majority.
Still, at least in an unrestrained democracy, its legal !

Well, I see the Aussie media have conducted another successful "election" in Australia!

New Zealand will be the same next year too, media choice I think will be the red Labour party again.

Eenie meenie minie mo, the media will tell us, which way to go.

Don't you just love free choice, even if it is "Clayton's"! John.

MMP has effectively ruined our country beyond repair. What we have at present is a green tail wagging a red dog.The activists and still freaks of the 80's are now writing NZ law.National may well get more seats next year than Labour but that don't mean shit under MMP,labour and the greens combined will still most prob be able to form a Govt,so get smart with your vote, flag the minority parties votes......or run for ya lives!!!

Let me see, why vote Labour?

They have taxed the hard working working middle-class to death for years running huge tax surpluses and given it to the most unproductive people like criminals and professional beneficiaries, burgeoning government departments, legal aid, crap, more crap, cultural feel good about my minority crap and the odd hip hop tour.... oh and big pay rises for all MP's and govt workers.

They run a tax regime that says "don't bother trying to get ahead, we will tax more of it if you do so you end up deciding it isn't worth the effort".

They take money off us only to give it back after spending half of it hiring govt workers to give what is left back to some but not all and say they are doing us a favour.

They have socially engineered into law many a personal agenda with the express displeasure of the common voter. This government is incredibly interfering in how we live and they change the rules to suit themselves if the law doesn't work to their benefit.

Time to get back to being a democracy where we New Zealanders have a real say instead of a regime of "do as you are told and live as I think NZ should live".

Well, looks like Aussies screwed the pooch big time. Apparently they disliked the unequal distribution of wealth. Let's see how will they like the equal distribution of misery.
"People are stupid ... almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

    Key = Blue (National) socialist.

    Clark = Red (Labour) socialist.

Kind of like AJS and Matchless bikes when I was a kid or Hillman and Humber cars.

The buyer made "their choice," apart from a few cosmetic differences, the result was the same!

I have seen countless Labour National governments (the peoples choice) and the results have made very little difference.

The media encourage the people to concentrate and about the cosmetics as a diversionary circus to control our attention!

Meanwhile, the beat goes on, dah de dah de dah. The flowers may have different colours but the smell will be the same. "MMP" John.

Boob Johnson used it in a thread a couple of weeks ago and I like it so much that (upon someone elses suggestion) I made it my signature.

    ... familiar from where?

I agree that fresh blood is what we need. Will it have improved things no end in 4-8 yrs? Of course not! We'll all be ready for fresh blood again and another round of "Can you believe what these people are saying?"
Thank fuck Don Brash is gone! He would have been a political nightmare!
But hey! Bring on the clowns!
