I bought the Cordura suit he sells and it was cheap, not great value. Things that shouldn't come off did and it leaked early on in the peice. So much so I wore an old set of Gore-Tex wet weathers outside of it most days. Got rev-it stuff from Motomail now and it was a third more $$ and 10 times as good.

Between Quasi with everyone who has used him raving about the gear and Motomail who are really helpful and great range I don't see why you'd gamble with other dealers. There is other good gera out there, but does there service match? Fit counts.
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!

If ya looking for cheap new gear Rick is great to deal with.

The quality of his stuff does surpass the pricetags.

Ive had a pair of touring boots off him - they took a hammering before I threw them out.

My famous Repsol leathers cost me $600, I used to wear them day in day out, theyve been down the road etc.. and have fallen apart less than my brand new neo leathers.

And the gloves, they are SUPERB. $60, they simply surpass any other glove ive had, and have outlasted their competitors worn by mates who do less than half the mileage I do.

Give him a call, rock on down at his place at pukekawa, and have a good nosy in his container full of gears.

    10/10

Had Lifestyle pants and jacket and was happy with them (only sold them when I lost weight and they became too loose). Rick was excellent to deal with and at the time the only person able to cater for my short legs with an off the shelf pair of pants. As always, yer gets what yer pays for and if you are on a budget he is worth a visit.

I wouldn't buy quasi's gear just because of his attitude on KB in the past. Just my 0.02c.

I don't see what that has to do with purchasing his geat quality gear, but any way it's your choice.

I got jacket and pants from them. They leak in certain parts in rain and some stitching isn't the best but have survived 2 crashes at about 60ks and still going strong so not bad.

Pants were bloody stiff to start with (couldnt even get on bike) but after wearing them around the house for a while they got better and are pretty soft now

That's why I said "just my 0.02c" Whether his gear is quality or crap doesn't matter his public comments and demeanor have put me off dealing with him.

For what its worth I have a 2 piece leather suit from lifestyle imports. I've had it for 3 years and the price was very good. The zips are shit nearly all have broken but I just sewed new ones in. The back shoulder and knee armour are good but the elbow stuff doesn't feel right for me so I removed it. I have had 2 bins in it. One at Taupo at reasonable speed quite a slide no injurys and the suit was hardly dammaged except scuffed some of the thread off. One 50kmh on the road started to rip one of the double layer panels off on the arm but I landed right on that arm. I've also got a pair of his boots which he sold me for $100 because they already had a broken zip. Sewed another in and they seem ok though cheaply constructed.

Bottom line is you get what you pay for and lifestyle imports are very cheap. Be much better off in a full leather suit from them then buying a fancy jacket and no pants
