i have a 1983 yamaha yt175 tri moto,
how do i disconnect the oil mixer,is it as simple as clamping or disconnecting the oil line.i'ld rather premix my own gas

Remove the pump and blank the hole,seal the oil port into the barrel.The Yamaha just squirts oil into the intake,nothing fancy.I'd leave it on,but if you want the extra drama of mixing then remove it.You could run the pump dry and seize it,then just clamp the hose.

thanks motu,turns out the landlord dont want us riding in his paddocks so i gona flick it off,will leave oiler as it is seems to work ok.its a bloody ruff looking bike(silicon on the boots,zipi tie here and there,seat just sits on bike,rusty chassis)but fuck it's a lot of fun,i cant keep my 2yr old off it, kids are gona miss it but i think i'll miss it more.
