Wicked stuff Shaun. It's great to see you helping out someone that seemingly (as far as I have heard on here) has such a great attitude towards racing.

Lets see some more kiwis make the world scene!

Cheers, the world scene is my goal, Dom Jones has done himself very very proud in the USA, team announcement and so on for next year, will be announced by Dom, when he is all ready to go with it - The point to mentioning Dom is ( Hope this is ok Dom) I created the opportunity for Dom, ( He paid all his own costs) to get to the states, and arranged a lot of things there for him.

ANyway, point being, I ill be getting more riders to the USA next year mate, FOR SURE!

That's fantastic Shaun! I love your attitude to our young talented riders here. I cant say the same for certain BIG budget racing teams here who prefer to import Australian riders. We have a number of youngins with huge potential who could do with the support of the big, brand teams so why dont they get it? Australia has the population and money available to train their own riders so why does Noo Zillund want to pay for them to come here? It's something I just dont understand.

Oh and well done Sam!!!! Excellent write up! Nice to see you got the spellchecker. All the very best for the nats.

Agreed 100%. I think "he" makes the rider decisions based on getting the "big names" to attract the sponsership dollars rather than promoting the young NZ talent that could really do with his guidance and assitance. Its a real shame. Rant over.

    Shaun, you the man!

I think you missed my point. Shaun is doing a great job with our young riders, no question! He is hardly in a financial position to be setting up a large racing team to help put our young talent out there but he does help a few. It's a certain big brand team who brings Australian riders here to compete when we have so many talented riders who could do with their help. Why do they promote Australian riders when we have so many Kiwis who need that support?

I here what you are saying but, we all run our own lives and buisnesses in a different way, I am shocked a bit, and dissapointed a bit, that this team you speak of, has NO KIWI Riders at all, as the boss has a fantastic history, pedigree of Knoledge, But has Kiwi Funding, ie, the main sponsor of the team, yea over seas based, but the boss lives here!

Anyway, out of here, more Kiwi's to help including ME!

I actually had a similar conversation with a hotel owner in palmy, i would have liked to see the help given to some kiwi boys but on his side of the coin he said if it wasnt for the aussie/american boys coming over to amp things up a bit he wouldnt be going to watch the races... Thanks for supporting the guys that book ya motel! haha but he did have a diff way of looking at it from a non biased point
