Racism on KB Forum

It's a pity that these racist remarks have coloured your first impressions of Kiwbiker mate. I have seen a bit of shit round here, but mainly by drop kicks whose posts I just skip over now, and don't read.

The face to face world has no moderators dude, people say what's on their mind, and if its offensive enough, they get a fist to the face for it. Same applies here I think. I would rather a racist was racist on the forum, and did not try to hide it, at least that way we know what the person is like.
Championing the "cause" of the minorities is possibly the most futile act when attempted over the internet. Do it in person, and you will make a difference.

Those that make some of the racist comments... do you know what ethnicity they actually are??????? You might be totally surprised..... Some of the worst racist jokes are actually said by those whose race is that which the piss is being taken out on... A bit like Billy T JAMES... and he is a legend!!!

Do what you gotta... some good folk on here...

(Some not so good too... but hey, that is what the "ignore" function is for, if ya want...).

Good on you Phil, this sounds like a really good time for you to leave the forum. Heaven help us poor racist contributors, who hide behind a nickname. If you had stuck around for a bit longer you would discover that there are many of us here that "know" one another, and shock horror! even know peoples real names

I've been riding 25 years and rode in many countries with all kinds of people. Some of them I've liked, some not. But I've never needed to measure thier worth by the colour of thier skin or cultural beliefs.
I have found that thier is always a certain element in the biker community who believe that the 'white power" thing makes them real bikers. Probably grew up reading Easyrider or Outlaw Biker magazines. Often found them to be unfortunates, tend to look for easy targets to blame thier own inadequacies on.
Others I have met simply hold a huge sense of entitlement and believe all the toys should belong to them and only they should make the rules.
This forum seems to have an abundance of the above, some idiot even managed to get in some racist idiocy in a post about people doing roadworks outside his house recently.
Anyway, no one forces any of us to be here and I'm exercising my judgement.

That's a pity Phill W. I can't speak for others but on here I'll slag all and sundry for whatever reason but out on the road I'll give them the shirt on my back if it will them get home safely. That's the beauty about this site we are all Jekle and Hydes well some are. Most are just plain nice both here and 'there.'

I'm a 3rd generation kiwi asian fella, but I've only been mistaken for chinese twice in my life - I look more Hori/Hawaiian/Indonesian/etc.

Hells teeth, I remember getting told off by a Samoan woman for ignoring her when she was speaking to me ... only I didn't know since it was in Samoan!

In Japan, I've been approached for directions by japanese people! :slap: Funny though, one time I actually knew the place they wanted and gave them instructions "migi, hidari, straighto!"

never twigged to them that I wasn't a slant eyed nipper!

(I was tempted to yell out "Remember Nanking you muddaf**kers!!?")

but yeah, KB is a bastion of un-PCness, thank gawd fer that!
