Ride: 10.30 am Wednesday 27 Nov

Me & Phurrball are going for a cruise somewhere tomorrow at 11am. I've had enough of texting and PM'ing people that never come, so if you're serious about going I'll see you at the UOA gym at 10.30am sharp.

Note: 10.30 am is cause we need to suss out where we are going and whether we will meet Phurrball near his turff or have him come to us.

Ride will not take much more than 3 hours and learners can come (if you lag we'll wait for you at intersections etc).

i'm keen, and maybe if you guys could meet me and phurrball out west that would be good (rather than us spending 20 minutes getting to uni and another 20 coming back again)

backroads around my place are perfect for the motard, and if we could end up in kumeu (via backroads of course) that would be a bonus too

Yeah that could be the plan which is why I'm meeting at 10.30am in case we ride out there.

Titirangi village at 11am for those out west or 10.30am UOA gym for those everywhere else.

Ride will be mapped out by two locals, so should be some good roads.

Don't worry, I'll be starting a 9-5 in Jan unfortunately (My student days are almost officially over after a certificate, a diploma and two degrees).

    Anyway:

I just got back - ended up being a 4 hour ride (with quite a few stops). Good fun and Andy showed us a few local back roads too.

I'll probably be free on Friday so gimme a text.

i got a few bikes in mind...

was pretty sure i'd want the SV1000S, at that price why the hell not, just wasnt sure about the 1 litre thing coming from a 250. then last week i saw the SV650S going for 10499 brand new and suddenly that became my top of the list bike. GT650 i am considering but its still running in at 9999 so i might as well pay and extra 500 and get the SV650. VTR1000 also possible, its the same price as the SV1000 but i like the edgier lines on the SV better than the VTR which looks like a blob. was quite keen on the GSXR600 cos of the suzukifest pricing but its still a bit high. Also keen on the GSR600 but its about the same price as the SV1000. GS500 looks like a cheap gixxer imitator but i dont think i will go for that. GSF750 katana price looks good at 9999 but like the VTR1000 looks like a blob. then there is also the GT650X but its not out yet and i dont know prices on it.
