Firstly, there is no such thing as luck: you can't measure it or quantify it in any way. Secondly, even if by some strange fluke of fate there was, surely you'd expect that if someone had been extremely lucky and cheated death or whatever, then they're fukt as far as buying a lotto ticket or whatever, because they've had their wee sprinkling of it? Or is there some illogical official theory that posits that any fortuitous happenstance is evidence that the GoodLuckGod or Tooth Fairy or whatever is abroad, dolloping out blobs of favour and for a Very Limited Time! Special Offer! Be Quick! Don't Miss Out! Hurry!! there's still some of it lingering around, so you have to make the most of it before the Good Luck Statute of Limitations takes effect.
