    Thread Counts

I've seen references to posts in Rant and Rave not counting but never come across that anywhere in the FAQs. I don't really watch my post count but I'd be annoyed to think that my considered thoughts on various topics are regarded as an insignificant contribution.

Yeah let it slide. What you contribute, and how many contributions they count are two different things - and let's face it... what you contribute is the one that actually matters.

Yes you are right, Rant and Rave does not count towards your post count, but that does not mean your thoughts and contributions are "insignificant".

The new rule will be added to the FAQ's at some stage btw.

    How old are you?

You strike me as the articulate, apparently well educated, wise sort of old man with a bee up your bum.

    Take no offence.

I'm simply curious as to why you see post counts as being relevant to contribution. I'm guessing you'll have well founded reasoning for it, or perhaps you just have a bee in your bum?

It's a bit like "Why do serial killers kill?"

Same as "Why do old men get grumpy over seemingly insignificant things?"

Post count != significance, only content has that privilege.

    Quality, not quantity.

Unless it's money. I don't care if the dosh was poorly manufactured, I'd still like to have a ton of it.

Ok ok I really don't care. Rereading my post it looks as though this is a big issue but it isn't. I just wondered why, and where the rule is. Like most of us, I only look at post counts when someone says something naive to see if they are new.

Now - as to farts - I find Hubbards Fruitful Museli really cuts the mustard......

    Here is the rule:

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=60578

The site rules are not found in the FAQ's, they have a special section in Site Stuff. However this will be added to the FAQ's at some stage as mentioned yesterday.

PM me if you need any more help.
