BRONZ 25th Annual Toy Run (Auckland) - 1 December, 2007

Guys,

the Toy Run is fast approaching and for those that don't know it is about charity and helping out those not as fortunate as others. BRONZ organise this ride each year to collect toys for the Salvation Army so it is a good cause and an oppotunity to ride on the motorway with no cars.

The ride starts at BMW on Pacific Rise, Mt Wellington, Auckland @ 10am the 1st of December, 2007 and continues through to The Warehouse, 26 Warehouse Way, Northcote.

All are welcome. Bring along a toy to donate for the children or buy a commerative badge for $10 (I think?).

If your on a scoot and want to come along and ride with other scoots, then this is a good chance to do so and mix it up with other bikes...

Yessireebob - an opportunity to surprise the big-wheelers. Are we going to do a separate scooters meet up before heading on to BMW?

If I remember correctly, the scooters were at the front of the pack for last year's run. It looked really cool with all the pretty colours & everything!

(I don't know if it was officially organised that way or if the scooters just happened to assemble there.)

I think that was the year before, I was mid-pack last year having a "who's got the loudest pipe" competion with a Hardly Ableson on Queens St

Okay, here is the deal if others in the scooter fraternity want to join the ride with other fellow scooterists.

Meet at the Honeywell Building at the base of Mt Eden (264 Mt Eden Rd) initially from 9:20'ish to leave at 9:40 to get to BMW, Mt Wellington by 10 for more milling about and frothing, badge buying and photo taking.

The intention is to have a claim in the BMW carpark (with a little insider trading) with the Magneto's banner on display as a meet point. You will need to take the toys with you so calling all bungee straps. Please bring as many as you can.
