    Lucky beggars

When I was at school, only about a dozen people had motorbikes. I was sooo fricken jealous, all I wanted was my own bike. And, one or two even had electric start, and I was in fricken awe!

There was no way that A, my parents would let me have one, and B, I could afford to have one. Consider yourselves lucky

    Dave

PS: Aren't you allowed to wear certain items if it's part of your religion or customs? Surely you could just wear your gear and helmet all day, since biking is a culture all of it's own??!

I usually ride to school with my bike jacket and a pair of jeans over my school pants/shorts. I just wear my school shoes. I take all the gear and the helmet and leave them at the gear drop of room at school, where they stay nice and safee till I go and pick them up at the end of school.

Good thing im in 7th form next year then I can wear mufti and just stay in my jeans all day with better shoes

Approaching 37000k. It has several flatspots and sucks through gas, the rear shock is shot. I think I can fix the gas problem but I need to get at the air filter first. I talked to a teacher at school today and got access for the automotive garage, so maybe sometime soon. Light swtich needs fidling with to get going, cracked speedo....shall I continue?

Many, many centuries ago, when dinosaurs were still roaming the planet, I used to ride to school. I used to wear my school pants and shoes, and had to cart my leather jacket, helmet, scarf and gloves around. I don't remember it being too much of a hassle apart from a couple of kids hassling me (jealous?) and a schoolboy rugby player from Wales stealing my scarf.

In the last year at school, I (and some other bikers in my class) used to leave our bikes in the backyard of a classmate who lived across the road from the school, so I left my gear there too. It was actually closer than the students' car / bike park, which was at the end of the entrance way, a considerable distance from the school proper (and no doubt a considerable security risk nowadays.)
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

That would be an idea. I should try that. I could threaten to headbut people with my helmet
