    MC28 info needed

    hey guys.

I want to throw a CR500 engine in a MC28 NSR250 frame im gonna be getting my grubby little mits on. I noticed that the CR engine has a mounting point for the swing arm behind the gear box... does the NSR do this aswell? Or do i need to hack, weld and hammer the frame to get the swing arm pivoting through the gearbox...

    Cheers

    Denis

hey dude...ummmm....I have a mc28 chassis...a SP one in fact...lite weight race wheels for it etc...all the shit...and a KX500 water coolded engine...and all the other bits you will need...only have to make a craddle for the engine...and a few other bits...I can also pass on all the research I have done to make these sorts of bikes reliable and non-vibrating to death...and also why you use the kx500 instead of the CR500...interested???

    other wise...anyone else interested??

reliability...the kx motor is alot stronger...and you will run high rev's constantly...the CR makes a little more HP [only marginal] but they are fragile engines compared to the KX...the KX also has better counter balance on the crank..so slightly less vibs also..and wait!!!! theres more!! the KX 500 is a easy mount...only need to build a craddle for it...once you've measured up the position..and bolt it in!!

And this is where everything goes quiet.

Super cheap collection of parts vs pub idea in broad daylight.

Piss off, I've wiped the very thought from my memorybanks. No more distractions until I've finished my 500 & both my racebike engine transplants.

But if anyone does buy it & finish it Can I Have a ride of eet?

Haha, what on earth was your budget? [5th beer in hand] Surely a CR500 can't be worth more than $400 can it?

For these sort of projects you need to add up all the parts you will require & probably double that. That number won't be even close, but the project will take so long to complete you will have time to pay it off.
