    Ride for fun

    At last!

I got a ride in that no purpose other than entertainment, but the day was made when I hooked up with Deano, Hayden, Jimbo, and Eddie at the Flying Fish.

The Sun was completely outdone by Jimbo's smile. Check out the Doofus grin below.

Nice to see you having fun.

Had a great ride with Eddie out through the GLadstone-water tower-Masterton loop, and a pleasant lunch at Wild Oats. Eddie got brain freeze from his smoothie, so the entertainment there was great too.

Wasn't yesterday in the Wairarapa a stunner? (NB: rhetorical question)

Every biker in Christendom was out hanging with their mates and having a blast.

This included bikers of the pedalling variety too, and there was waaaay too much lycra on show around Martinborough.

Even the show-Harleys were out and about. Some of these dudes really need to go to riding school.

Stoppie of the Day Award goes to Mark Dunn: "Oh, I think my fingers slipped, or something!"

All too soon it was over.

(Makes note to buy the Flying Fish, which must have made a couple of squillion dollars yesterday sating the desires of assorted Wellington bikers)

Yeah, I can relate to that... Did anyone see Scary Movie last night? When I get MY bike back, I'll have a grin/drool like Special Officer Doofy! gargle gurgle drip drip

I'll draw the line at going poofy though (you have to have seen the movie )

We were out riding with Bugsplat, Marknz, Marcus, Smiley, Her_B4 and a couple of others. Western side of the Lake, the Fish (coffee and breakfast), Gladstone, Water Tower Hill, Wainuioru, Lee Pakaraka Road, Gladstone, Carterton/Wild Oats (coffee and lunch), Parkvale, Ponatahi, M/Borough (some of us needed gas by now) then back to the top of the hill for a while.

Jim2 - sorry to have to buzz off just as you arrived at the top of the hill.

    Hitcher and Mrs Hitcher
: saw you guys coming to the Fish as we were leaving - sorry we couldn't stop but were in a big group and they were relying on me to lead them (poor errant souls!!).

Jimbo, sorry I missed seeing your new mount, but the grin does say a million words.

Also caught up with Eddieb and Mark Dunn at the top of the hill, plus Et Al, Gunner, and a few others whose names I forget - I was too busy mentally drawing up the contract for me and the Hitchers to go halves in the Fish.

Yep, it was a CRACKER of a day.

Agreed, a stunning day, lunch at the fish then a good blast along some back roads.

Thanks to Jim for letting me tag along with him. He's not slow on that TRX.

Managed to get the other photos off the camera this morning. I like the helmet too Jimbo. Nice Union Jack one from Nitro.

The only problem with such a stunning day was those darned South Wairarapa midges. Every time we stopped we'd gathered another layer on the visor, and I was covered in yellow gunge by the time I got home.

I felt a bit like I was tagging along with you through that last section Eddie. Only time that I think "Damn this speed limiter", is when some bugger on a real Ducati passes my fake Ducati at a huge rate of knots.

Looking forward to Summer if it's going to be like last weekend.
