    Powerbronze Australia

I ordered and paid for a set of headlight covers for the R1 on OCT 19th. They wouldnt send them directly from the UK to NZ but instead had to come through Aussie. OK, waited, waited, emailed.... oh your order was sent on the 8th of November.
Its bloody the 4th of december and it still has'nt turned up.
Australia post must be out to lunch and this company needs to start using track an trace for their orders?
    Am I being unreasonable?
    Where the fark?

    no your not being unresonable
its just the way it is ......Ill bet that your order wouldnt have been actually done for about a week or 2 cause there could be more to get from the same place ....then it would have been sent to the place where they get distributed from ,Most likely here in nz i m guessing...Then a couple or 3 days till someone actually did the order so then it went to aussie .
Basicly the same thing from there end and id be guessing by now itll be sitting somewhere in aus waiting to be sent to dist here in nz and id gues itll be ment to turn up about next week.maybe friday
But if i dint see it by then id just forget all about it ...

    I am the worst shopper
if they dont have it i want it yesterday
I shop around ,and now have a select few places that dont stuff me around
If i dont like the service they know about it and so do anyone else if it ever comes up in conversation .

By the way it does make big difference if your not worried about the postage cost, just say to get it on courier tomorrow.

I know for a fact that you can order a clutch from CAT in the US and at about 4 in the arvo here our time it can and has been picked up in the south island at 9 30 the next morning ..things can be done just depends who

    They blow goats.

They crank the price about 50% over the UK price as well. I have corresponded with both organisations and I'm pretty sure they are both working up to a nice retirement in the Bahamas where their bank accounts already live.

Normal distribution tricks. The company has consolidated the load out of the Uk (to reduce their transport costs).

And now the company in Aussie is consolidating........ it's bloody annoying, but there is very little you can do.

When ordering from overseas companies it sometimes pays to ask if loads are consolidated, as this affects delivery.

Had the same problem at work with a very large German company..... parts on the shelf in Germany, but still took over 6 1/2 weeks to be delivered. Only a phone call to the MD in Aussie got this sorted as it was holding up our production.

I guess it pays to check this kind of stuff before you buy (assuming you can find out).
I've had a few things from overseas int he last year. One item took over 3 months to get here from Canadia - because it was free, I asked the guy to use the "slow boat via China" option. Cost me $18 for postage even so, because it was heavyish (pair of footpeg brackets).
Other items have taken 5 days (small parcel from the UK), 2 weeks (shock absorber from Canadia, via New York), less than a week ( box of parts from New York), a week and a half (fork springs from Mrka), 3-4 weeks (book from New Joisy), a few days (gearshift kit from Mrka).

Apart from the 3 month item, none of the items took unreasonable time to get here, even though only a couple were 'priority' items. Although they all seemed to take forever...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    taking forever

I reckon ditto to all above. The crazy thing is, if it had come directly from the UK I would have had it buy now. But yes some manovoure going on there I reckon. And if they'd just asked what kind of postage...... of course I would have paid for the 2 day track and trace courier! BUt now the bloody things are lost in space. oh well it will be a nice suprise if they do (OOHHH better not jinx it now)
