as for getting free services with a new bike... maybe... but consider what sort of value we're getting in the first place and its not so bad. How much would a new 10 second 1/4 mile capable car set you back? A fair sight more than the 22,000 you'll pay for a new R1, ZX10, GSXR1000 or CBR1000!
you also have to take in account they use alot more parts in a car, so higher price, but i don't like you buy a brand new bike, then gotta do ya 1000km service, they normally not to bad price(should be free, cause its basically a check to make sure there workman ship is correct) and then they try ripping you off, like a honda dealer in hamilton with my wifes vtr1000f, brought there, had 1000km service there, ring about 5000km service they wanted to charge us $200 for the service, and well, nothing needed changing, no oil/filter plugs nothing, it was just a go over check bolts. This bike we had planned to return for all services, i was also at the time looking at buying a bike from them. on this basis told them to stick it up there ass, got it serviced here for $50(+ oil & filter($50) cause i decided to change it at this service)
