There has also been talk of re-establishing the Vic Motorcycle club on campus at VUW. Are there any signs of interest / offers of wisdom or advice from here? Let me know either via this thread or PM me.

Hi Bevan - me and a couple of mates tried to start the Vic Uni bike club back up last year but we didn't do the official VUWSA way because of all the liability and red tape that we would have to put up with (it was all getting a bit ridiculous when we talked it through with the clubs gal). We did a couple of rides (got 8 people the first time but 2 the second - the 2nd time it was in the hols so prob not the best idea). In the end the guy who was the 'decided' Pres. kind of lost interest and I didn't feel like keeping it going with no back up so not much happened. I'd def. be keen to help out though if you want to get it going again, but I wouldn't suggest going the official way (even if you are a VUWSA lad) cause it'll turn into an OSh-like nightmare. But I've got a list of 35 Vic bikers and their phone no./emails from last year, (except a few would've gone by now) but it might help.

Well I just sent my enrollment in at the end of last week. Haven't heard anything back yet though! I'll be keen to come on some rides if you guys start a club up there.
