Thanks for that. Your glowing and effusive endorsement of your potential chess-playing colleagues is noted.

Your position on the continuum that is evolution is noted.

I think you mean "spear"? Not that I want to quarrel...

    My roleplaying games, yes.

    Company of the Dragon, no.

It's more like, warm up with combat soccer, learn set moves by holding arm up with weapon and squat until trainer comes back from smoko, then put on as much armour as you have or can find, then bash, hit, knock, stomp and slash the hell out of your opponent/s until you can't take it anymore

    fun

    I'm not a geek!

I didn't work in the bookroom all my highschool career, and I didn't join the chess club for a year. Oh wait...
I probably won't play, since I'm crud at chess, and don't get the algebraic jargon of chess moves, but I'll happily watch, and spew out the odd jeer, and comment on your geekyness

I'm always game to join in group activities

    - Tosh Pourer, if he can spare the time from his crammed calendar

I'll give it another day or so to see who else crawls out of the woodwork.

Actually, I'll be busy and offline for the next few days after tomorrow, so I'll probably have to resurrect this with an appropriate challenge next week, if you lot don't get going without me.

I'll be in as well. And if it's a geek contest how about back in saffa land i got into the southern transvall chess trails as well as winning colours for chess at my primary (same level as intermediate here) but i also played sport so what does that make me?????????. Then i moved here and didn't play hahahahha
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

    Ha! That'll be the day.
Remember to never split an infinitive. The passive voice should never be used. Do not put statements in the negative form. Proofread carefully to see if you words out. And don't start a sentence with a conjugation. (William Safire)

I will, in fact, be on leave from Thursday through Monday next week.

Hence my inability to waste time on KB, you see.

Oh yes, and *I've* got a laptop now. Nyahhhh nyahhhh!
