    Ok

    It's all coming along nicely!

Speaker cable. Sorted thanks. With the Juke Box coming we won't need to move stuff like that about.

Chairs, bring what you can but don't panic. Most people will stand about as bullshitting and dribbling is easier that way!

If you are coming on your bike, just bring what you can manage, we will fill in the gaps.

    Right ho!

Joni? You realise we are 50km north of town? You are welcome to stay friday night with us (I will be driving north at???). Conversely, if you are staying in town you can catch a train north (run at worst hourly and about $6 to $8) and we can grab you from paraparaumu.

Tony/Frosty will arrive at 8:30 sat night. Do we have a volunteer to pick him and BB up at the airport and deliver to the BBQ? Comeon Don't be shy!

Vicki and I will drop you off the next day for the return flight or what ever else ya wanna do!

    Cheers

Stop it you lot. I’ll be racing Taumarunui all that weekend so it’s hardly fair that you lot will be enjoying yerselves sans me.

Ok pictures will be required & you are all instructed to humiliate yourselves pictorially as I am now living vicariously through your actions. :spudwave:
Don't you look at my accountant.

Count me in Paul - I'll be catching the train. Would you like me to bring additional salad?

Count me in too Paul, earlier offer of anything else you need like BBQ, chairs whatever still stands. Let me know if you need anything - or a hand getting stuff sorted before.

PS. please PM me your address or I'll end up wandering round looking for a bunch of unruley bikers (which may not be all that difficult to find)

As far as food goes. The best advice is bring whats reasonable given your circumstances and we will fill in the rest. If that means a panic trip to Pak N Slave, thats OK!

People travelling on trains, planes and motorbikes can't be expected to hump bloody great salads and shit about the place especially when top priority should be given to expensive plonk which you can't possibly finish and have to leave behind for me to polish off on sunday!

I think the OP will be...

This is a simple BBQ. Potentially we could have 40 plus people and from experience, it's just too hard to try and get clever with food for that many at once unless you have catering equipment. You end up arsing about with the food and the guests drink too much on empty stomachs and... Oh dear! Just remember, a lot of KB'rs own digital cameras!

If everyone brings a little something we will have a feast! Just don't expect a fully catered banquet!

We will provide some simple bulk pastas, salads and bulk like breads and stuff. We will have sausages / savs for the wee folk and they will be first food priority.

We will see about desert this week (if I can still get a deal on the ice creams)

    Cheers

Bread, sauage, tomato sauce. Alcohol. That's all that's needed.

As posted on the transport thread:
I'll be taking a car or van BUT ONLY if it's wetish or worse. You'll have to phone me on the day (PM me for the number). Trip is from Newlands area out there. Don't know what time I'll be heading back.

Not too many are passengers with me twice...

    shiver me timbers

Cheap meat you say? How much for the stuff that been kept at or below 4 deg C?

I'm happy to pitch in for some cheap meat, or I can buy some on the way back from my ride, or on the way up if it's raining. In the end, it's not going to be difficult, turn up, cook, eat, drink?
