Okay. Being employed in media is conspicuous by it's absence.

i get paid to break stuff
and also to stop it from breaking, kind of a Dr Jackass and Mr Hyde deal.

I do mechanical testing (materials testing, product certification etc). Lots of failure load / ultimate strength testing, plus prettymuch anything that has a "meets the requirements of standard AS/NZS 12345" on it has been tested by someone like me.
Other half of my job is NDT - Non Destructive Testing. Mainly used for industrial equipment lifetime assessment, statutory inspections etc. (ultrasonics, magnetic and penetrant inspections, the list goes on)

    Lets see someone pigeonhole that!

OOoohhhhh.... You try telling that to half the guys i work with it's just a trade job, they'd get aaaaaaallllll riled up, heheh. Actually, they might be good for a laugh on monday

And it's a good thing when i get bored of the same old thing at work to remind myself "Hang on, they're paying me to smash bash and break stuff "

I'm a Licenced Aircraft Engineer, dedicating my life to the national carrier.

On my days off I fly for a Skydive operation in Matamata and another one in Whitianga, then on my other days off I contract for a small aircraft engineering company containerising Alpha aircraft for export (after giving them a last fly in NZ ) and building a T51 Mustang like this one >>>>>>

Oh yeah then on my OTHER days off I fly a corporate aircraft around. Usually in the middle of the night.

Then at the start of Feb I'm starting an Instructor Rating just to keep me occupied.

The closest I get to flying is playing the miniatures "wings of war" game with my boys. I have trouble gluing the wings back on when they break.

Sorry, but none of those come anywhere near close to journalist/photographer - I know I am studying part-time at present but wouldn't class myself as a student so I can't tick any of them!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
