Ooooh, didn't know they had a site, wicked!

    Edit:
Ok, here are the rules, and if you have an idea for a location, put it up here:
4 wheels, have brakes, no drive train (pedals or motors etc.) Otherwise, use your imagination. The goal is to have fun. Build your car sturdy. Your steering should be stiff and make sure your brakes actually work, you may need them. Things that are not acceptable: Skate or louge boards, bicycles with training wheels or any faux wheel set up. You car should have a steering wheel, 4 wheels etc. sort of look like a car.

    Safety Equipment:

Helmets are mandatory. Eye protection and gloves do to gravel and car parts bouncing off the road is encouraged, you'd be a dang fool if you don't have this bare minimum of protection. Body armor, riding leathers or any other form of protection is encouraged as well, we want everyone to have fun and race again. We're all big kids though, use your best judgment. Well there are dumber ways to die, but not many. If you scrape your face off it will ruin your modeling career, you've been warned.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

I'm sure I remember you guys from the RedBull Trolley GP in the domain!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

    we will remember them

    Huh?

I used to do my racing in Blenheim, not so fun as not many good hills and Kaikoura, awesome fun, lots of hills there, was mainly gravel racing there, heaps of drifting round the corners.

There should be a cost limit too. Giltrap Porsche spent at least 10k on their entry... Not more than $200 I reckon...

Heck, that much, I was thinking $100 max should be pretty fair. Easy to scrounge steel or aluminium (especially when ya mate runs a scrap company), a seat, steering wheel, I reckon the only major cost would be some decent tyres, maybe some 12inchers of a kids bike woud do it.

What about a weight limit? I mean you don't want an engineless car...

You gonna lose some weight to make the limit man?

Na, I reckon as long as there is no added ballast like lead, it should be cool.

I am suprised there haven't been any other takers to an idea like this.

    100kg VEHICLE weight limit.
$100 max spend - hard to judge though.
    Brakes - must work.
    Helmet - full face?
    Armoured leather jacket?
Everything else goes? I'll try and see if I can get whatever they had from the Trolley GP as guidelines. Or we'll just run it street styles FTW!!

Oh, you mean vehicle weight limit!

But yea, those rules sound good to me, just got to find a track now.

I think the weight should be combined vehicle and driver. Dunno who's got scales that could measure it though. Also, having a mate that runs a scrap company is as big an advantage as cheque book racing if you're gonna put a limit on how much can be spent.

I'd be keen as if I had a bigger garage and knew how to weld.
