    Str8 Jacket's Wanga Vegas spetculaaaar + more!

Well Boxing Day Eve FINALLY came about and me and Malcolm got the bikes packed up ready for our trip to Wanganui on Boxing Day.... My man was letting me ride his RG and he was on the VFR. The ride to Wanaganui was extraordinary ordinary but I enjoyed Piecock..... After getting settled into the backpackers we started our walk to the Cemetery Circuit, it started pissing down and hailing all in one. As it was my first time to the Cemetery Circuit I was still amped and not at all fazed. We stopped in at Countdown on the way and got our beer, bucket and ice and started making our way through the pits so I could take photos... We got to the Robert Holden corner where we set up for the day. Met up with quite a few others and had a fucken blast! I have never been to the boxing day races before so I was amped (and maybe a little pissed) where we were watching from was awesome, it was a tight right hander with an island in the middle. The island was where Robert Holdens ashes were scattered..... Anyway, I really enjoyed myself and knew a few of the riders so cheered them on. There was some spectacular riding, I reckon those fullas have BIG BALLS! I'll definately be back next year! At the end of the day we met a guy by the name of Spyder who was loading the 2 bikes that Robert Holden had ridden on the back of his truck. He let me sit on one of them and I managed to get Malcolm to take a photo of me on it, so I was stoked!!
After a day at the races (and on the piss) me and Malcolm headed off for dinner, afterwards almost getting in trouble with the local constabulary for having a "fake" fight with a large branch which had fallen of a tree.... I dont reccommend Wanganui New World as they dont seem to be too friendly.... But those are both stories for another day!
The next day we went over the Parapara's and ended up in Ohakune, where I got to see the house I had grown up in, it was up for sale but still looked the same.... After pumping up the fornt tyre of the RG I had a fucken AWESOME ride back to Wanganui! The only thing I found odd about that riad is that they have maked some corners unecessarily with lower speeds and left some "dodgy" corners without signange, though that road really dies rock, but I reckon that the Taka's are still better! Still I was buzzing and can now add that road to the list of "cool NZ roads" that I have ridden!
We stayed in Wanga's again that night and then went home via State Highway 2 in the pissing rain. Luckily the rain stayed away over saddle road, another road I have never ridden but rate pretty highly! We stopped in at the wind mills and had a looksie.....By the time we got to Masterton I was tired, cold and very grumpy so I had Tea and a lamington but left the key in the RG..... Luckily someone handed it in! By the time we go tto the Taka's they were dry AND empty so I had a blast. All in all I had the time of my life. Rode around 700 k's in 3 day's (which kinda hurts after awhile on a small bike!) I really enjoyed cemetery circuit and will definately be going again next year!

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Glad you enjoyed yourself. I walked past the Robert Holden corner a couple times, you must have been a bit quiet coz I never spotted you so you must have been behaving at the track.
    Cheers
