    Smile Ten years from now...

My youngest (of 4) sons will be 16. The ones of you who have checked out the "Exemption/dispensation" thread in the law section have seen the pic of my oldest (now 18) and I already know that all 4 will be same size.

I am soooooooo looking forward to the day when I take them all to a bike party. I sit there, less hair, grey beard. I am drinking a beer. Happily sitting there. Remenissing. Then some young upstart biker says something I take a disliking to. I ask him to not be such an azzhole. He gets smart to this old biker and he gets a fraction "noisy".

This is when I say (to my 4 6f3in boys): "Boys, can you please get rid this guy, he annoys me". All 4 walk up to him and say: "Please move away. You are annoying our dad"

May the bridges I burn light the way.

My Uncle asked me the other day, "does it feel weird to have an Uncle your age reversed?" (I'm 21, he's 12)
Not really as I just see him as a cousin.

10 years time, I'll be keeping my bikie mates away from my adopted little sister as she'll be sweet 16!
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

Could be that it will be one of you own lads annoying you......
Our youngest is 16 and it is really neat going out riding etc together as a family....yep, its always mum bringing up the rear.
We have just finalised detail of our last "big road trip" together before he heads off overseas on exchange for a year.
Christmas will certainly be different next year!

I stopped being able to out-run our two boys when they were 13. I stopped being able to out-wrestle them when they were 18, apart from fighting dirty. One of our boys is also 6ft 3 and plays for a London rugby club whilst he's working over there. The quickest way to make him let go without hurting him when he grabs me is to plant a big sloppy kiss on him - works every time

Our daughter is a flat 5 ft tall and she scares the crap out of me. MSc in Psych, dresses in Goth style, tongue that would cut concrete at 50 metres and unafraid of anything. Has attitude. I love her dearly! Her brothers are overly protective of her and any of her boyfriends are subjected to trial by ordeal. She loves them and hates them at the same time.

Fabulous watching them grow through each stage of their lives.

Sheet! you guys are making me feel old. In ten years time my grandsons will be 30, 27, 25 and 18 years old and quite possibly I'll have great grandkids about 7 or 8 years old. I still have more hair than all of them. None of them ride bikes so I doubt I'll be at any party they organise. What would they find to talk about?

I gave up arm-wrestling our son at 14, he first beat me in chess at 13, I could still outrun him at 18, until I got sick. I beat him in wrestle once at 18, but I did cheat...

The pic is taken last Jan. when he was 31 teaching our youngest daughter's husband how to snorkel. He's been going to the gym last few months though and is in much better shape now...

    In 10 years...

The waiting list for the public hospital won't exist.. it will be illegal to comment on it.

Your grandkids won't have a dangerous jungle-gym or an old tyre to swing on, and you won't be able to afford the resource consent for the tree house.

Your motorcycle will be a maximum of 45hp, and will have a tracking device so you can pay your road tax. And speeding tickets of course.

The helmet law will be expanded to ensure you ride with lights on, and have a full set of day-glo kevlar crash gear.

Your rates will be so expensive that you will have to pay them every month.

We wont be #38 in the OECD... actually we won't be in the OECD.

You may have a good job, but only the handout you get from the state will keep your head above water.

Your dinghy will have a WOF and a $300 P.A. rego plate. And you will have to have a license to drive it.

Kiwisaver will be compulsory, and the GRI will be cancelled.

Our Kyoto account will cost $60 per person, each week, and will be sent to Russia, who use nuclear power and are a Kyoto winner. Russia will remain the worlds 3rd biggest exporter of oil, but its the Germans who burn it, so it doesn't matter.

China will have invaded Taiwan, and the USA won't have noticed.

I will be fishing. There are still lots of fish, as it would not be sustainable to harvest fish to feed people, so it will be banned except for iwi like me. Anyway, fish are just small whales, I mean how could you eat 'em ?

And my quad, and my dog will still be unregistered, I'll still make my own grog, and ride down quiet country roads without my helmet.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.

I dunno if you'd need your sons to stand in for you man.A couple of years ago one of my daughters wanted to get something of hers back, but didn't want to get the cops involved - so she asked me if I could take some of my old mates around and sort it out for her.I think she thinks a bunch of over 50's wearing sunglasses looks quite intimidating.....she could be right.I have a feeling you would of fitted right in.

I regret thet I'm not insecure enough to require 3rd party intimidation in 10 years time.

What therapy are you currently seeking?
