Hey Pogo, did you get the issues sorted with your dealer? I saw the T-Rex for sale the other day...

    numbers

Maybe if you extended it to include all large maxiscooters (burgman, majesty, silverwing etc) you could get reasonable numbers for such a rally. Thats if you mean a rally rather than a meet at a cafe.

Considering their cruising ability you might even be able to pull it off.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Yes sort of. All behind me now just getting on and enjoying the ride. At the end of the day I got the bike I wanted with a good trade in and saved $1500. So not so bad. However still feel that Suzuki NZ and the dealer should have been a little bit more forthcoming with model specifications.

    Cheers

They wont do anything about it, will they?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Offered to replace the dash, but to my way of thinking it was gutting the bike and putting it back together again. Im getting used to it.
As a pilot I'm used to MPH USG and Imp Gals etc so I'm getting over it. Only real bummer is that this variant does not come with an immobiliser. But it not going to get stolen ay!

    Cheers

Mmm... I didn't get that offer. I think I'd have taken them up on it really. I didn't know about the immobiliser.
Still concerned about the 'mercin spec clutch, and the inevitable trip to the shop.

Still.. it does 145km/h with nearly 100 miles on the clock.

I was considering on of these:
    http://www.speedohealer.com/eng/intro.htm

My speedo reads about 7 kmph high at 60k
There is one for Suzukis including Burgmans.
You can select kph or mph reading. Not sure
    how that would work.

Regarding Burgman meet - great idea.
Perhaps Hamilton would be a central place for those
    from Auckland and Tauranga.

I attended a Kiwi Biker forum meet at a tavern in Hamilton last Friday. About fifteen turned up a pleasant evening with good company and good food etc. My Burgman attracted much interest. When I went to go home I found an Aprilia parked on one side of it and a Bimota on the other. Three top of the range machines together.

Have a look at Kiwi Rider January 08

There is a review of the 650 Burger. My initial impression of the review is ho hum. Sort of middle of the road with nothing good or bad to say about it. Was a bit critical of the fuel consumption.

Interested to hear your thoughts once you have read it.

had a quick read of this review and sounds to me he didnt spend enough time with the burger. it will grow on you is one point he was right about and fuel depends on how you ride it .

Only done 205 miles so far but everytime I ride it it reinforces the fact that I made the right decision. Especially like the fact that you can move your feet around and that seat, I'm sure you woundn't get much better on a Gold Wing. Back support is great. And did I mention the .......... the list goes on!
