    JAFA monthly meet 2/12/04

We had some discussions about moving from the Ponsnobby pool hall last night, as the site is a bit akward. As you may recall the pool hall was pushed as it was:
    1) central
    2) somewhere you could do something without having to drink (unlike a pub)

The current push is for Mission Bay, the meeting at the carpark across from BK's, then burgering up before terrorizing *ahem* I mean touring around, perhpas a noisey pack ride through the city or to Maraetai to finish.
We could make it a 6:30pm dinner stop for an hour and still have enough light to ride out to Maraetai to finish.

Please post thoughts, dsicussions, ideas and the obligatory non-productive smart-ass comments below...

I think that sounds delightful, and if it could be done sometime when I'm not working that would be even better. Unfortunately on 2/12 I won't be finishing work until 9pm (if I'm lucky).

I'd be up for that. Maraetai is a cool place to ride to.

Yeah, so anyway the idea is to raise the profile of our monthly meets a little bit.
Will be doing this not at the expence of KB ie: no advertising that we're from KB untill we can prove we can behave ourselves in a city enviroment, which lets face it can be quite hard with all the boy racers (& general wankers, including myself) around!
The idea is we all turn up on our sickles, therefore we won't be meeting at a pub etc, as we don't want anyone drinking AT ALL.
But we want to do the Queen st thing and possibly some other hot spots for a change as we do tend to loitre (sp?) around the middle of no-where normally.
Of course this will mean the cleaning of bikes, riding gear etc.
Let us know what you think

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Tell ya what might be a good idea.
    The Claddagh bar in Newmarket.
They have a garden bar with tons of space and there is tons of parking for bikes n stuff.
Although its a bar they have a bloody good menu and the normal burger/fries as well
The parking would be in front of the garden bar -so down a one way alley with only one way to get the bikes out--and any bloke that can PUSH a bike up that slope -I aint gonna argue with him if he tries to steal mine.
The other thing I Know the owner and he's pretty biker freindly.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
