... The suspension is a bit wonky from the factory, its got a secoundry bounce after hitting bumps.

Try a adding in a bit more rebound damping to stop it 'bouncing back up(rebounding)' so much.

And then the brakes need some work on too, as the 1st squees of the front brake is a bit spongy and then its a bit better after that. So perhaps braided hoses? or cheap pads and fluid?

bleed the brakes, that will hopefully sort it.
