Any interest in a ZZR600D (1990) ?

This is a very sad post to make But it seems I can't keep this bike. It guts me because it's *the* bike that made me want to do this whole thing 17 years ago, when it came out.

However, life can sometimes be cruel before it is kind.

I'm looking for interest in this bike, to see how much I can get, I am personally looking for 4k, I'd like to know if that's an appropriate price?

The bike:
Kawasaki ZZR600D 1990, Red.
Michellin tyres front and rear, (pilot powers, I think, hehe). Heaaaaps of tread left.
Givi pack rack and lockable Givi top box
Uniden alarm
Aftermarket horn
Ventura headlight guard

Things that have recently been done to it:
Complete recondition of the head, I have all the papers from East City Motorcycles for this, "Ultra sonic cleaned head, cut new seats for all 16 valves, shim valve clearances." and so on.
Also, a new water cooler was added.
Along with that came with new oil seal, thermostat, spark plugs etc, etc.

It is currently waiting for a new regulator and will be up and running in pristine condition, again from East City Motorcycles.

At your discretion I can tell you the value of what has been done to it, I'm not sure if it's common courtesy to keep such factors private or public, I apologise for that!

It doesn't let even a millimetre of smoke out the exhausts, the engine is perfection.
The lower fairing has some stone chipping, as to be expected with its age and there are two minor cracks near the wind screen, neither problems affect the bikes performence.
The clutch is a little clunky, though I have heard bikes of this era had a suspect clunky 2nd gear.


Again, this is gut wrenching to do (I'm sure everyone who knows me knows I liiiiiike my ZZRs), but sadly it has to be done. VERY reluctant sale

Oh I should mention it's got a pretty current warrant and I got a 6 month rego for it just last week.

71,000.. not very high by ZZR standards and the engine has been reconditioned so she has a lot of life left in her.
