    I think there's only two buildings in Gisborne with elevators......
    Anyway... have heard from all but one of the Gizzy cuzzys now, and all seems fine, a few cupboards spitting out their contents and a few broken bits and pieces, but everyone is ok, so that's good news really. I assume the Warehouse is ok, otherwise there will be some major problems for the Xmas shoppers......

    Just checked in with family in Gizzy......My cousin works at Montana Wines, they were having their xmas function when the quake hit. Vats of wine split open so the clean up of course consisted of buckets and buckets of wine......what to do what to do!

    wow. well i was in the thick of it all. dads bike fell over. phills fj1200 was throwen over like a twig!!! we have 1 casulty an older lady about 80. lots of minor injurys. town is a wreck 3 buildings have colapsed and the main road is blocked off power polls are crooked and theres a hole in the ground in ormond rd somewhere. and the top floor of the hospital flooded.

    Glad to hear that the Gizzy peeps are pretty much okay...is the 80 yr old just hurt or is it more serious?
